Olay's Thai Lao Cuisine
One of my favorite hidden spots in Chinatown—serving Thai and Lao dishes in a quiet courtyard. BYOB (bring your own booze), and the food is consistently flavorful and filling.
- Must-try: crispy lemongrass chicken wings and Kua Mee Lao (Laotian-style pad thai).
- BYOB—bring your own wine or beer since they don’t serve alcohol.
- Usually not too busy, but call/book ahead for peak dinner hours.
- Nearby: drinks at EP Bar or Skull & Crown
- One of the more affordable and authentic Southeast Asian restaurants in town.
